The wait was super long but SOOOOO worth it! The Bloody Mary was yummy and had a little kick! Shrimp Pontchartrain was delicious as well as the crawfish cake! The bread pudding topped off our meal and was fantastic! Like being in NOLA!!! They had live music "Tony Vegas" and he was a good guitarist, it was nice! Not annoyingly loud like some indoor music can be. We could still talk and carry on a conversation and enjoy the music too! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Everything is amazing about DCP. We have eaten there so often over the years. It's busy. It's loud. Their service is superb. Their menu and food choices are vast. And they do everything well. At great prices. Some restaurants I have to be in the mood for or almost dragged to. I'm always up for DCP. We love.... Their raw oysters. Their all in oysters have always been a favorite but now I'm really into their chargrilled oysters. I crave them. Their Cajun chicken pasta. Over the top yum. All of their shrimp and chicken dishes are excellent. Their gumbo is one of my two favorites in the area. Even their chicken fingers are good and I am not a chicken finger lover but once someone in our party ordered them and I was blown away by them. So yeah.... Picky eaters. They got them covered too. Brunch is yumm. Their drinks and cocktails. You get your money's worth. I recommend the hurricane They often have live music. Love their artists. It's just a grand ole time. Staff amazing and engaging. I can go on and on more but you get the picture. Their Monte cristo is good too and the boudin balls as well

The food was well worth the wait we had gator bites, oysters, shrimp, & so much more everything was amazing even the chicken for the kids meals. The guy playing music was amazing & so was our waitress Lindsey. We will forsure be back especially for the oysters

We always love Dat Cajun Place. Only complain we had this time was we had a big party, the server was busy and couldn't come take our plates we were done with and the food runner was bringing plates. She refused to take the plates and made us hold it in our lap until the server came to pick it up. Other than that the food is always delicious and our server was wonderful!

I knees when I pulled in and they had an auxiliary parking lot I was in for a treat! Lots of room, airy and fresh! They greet you coming in with a smile and it took them a gre minutes to co-ordinate service because of a large group but you didn't feel neglected. Boudin balls I could take or leave but these were surprisingly good. Really good! The Rockefeller oysters were excellent! They are the best, East of New Orleans, hands down! A picture of these by another yelper is why I decided to eat here! Thanks, Yelp! The main course was Fried chicken tenders, potato salad, dirty rice and gravy.the potato salad was excellent! The gravy made the meal! Excellent Excellent I tool damn near the whole entree to - go because I was so far past full it was I had to be rolled out on a wheel barrow ...... That's why it took a week to write this review, I've been sleep ever since. You will love this place!

Eat here! Initially told 1.5 hr wait or immediately could sit at the oyster bar. Those were the best seats in the house. We were taken care of by Cody and Honor, who both were superb waitstaff as well as entertaining ! Excellent food, very quickly served. Very enjoyable place to eat.

In town for Memorial Day weekend and had to check out Day Cajun Place! There was a long wait by the time we got in town the first day we got here and our fault we didn't go to waitlist so we had to skip. We decided to come back the following day after doing the waitlist this time and really enjoyed the process. The waiters were so accommodating and attentive; constantly checking on us but just enough where it wasn't annoying. We came on a Sunday and there was live music performances going on. We got the oyster sampler, small gumbo, and the Montecristo (not pictured) The montecristo was AMAZING. We've never had a deep fried ham and cheese but it was so cheesy and not overly greasy. The oysters were also HUGE! Small gumbo was very filling and I wish I ordered the large.
